Northumberland National Park Authority reassessed its priorities and restructured its staff in 2006, placing an increased emphasis on effective engagement with, and support for, local communities and businesses. Much of the experience, learning and activity generated by ASPECT has now been incorporated into the work of Sustainable Tourism and Community Enterprise staff, among many others, and relevant contact details are included below. One of the most important outputs, despite it being very difficult to measure and report, has been the positive way in which landowners, farmers, conservationists, recreational users, community groups, heritage and tourism managers and local businesses have worked together to inform the future development of sustainable tourism in and around Northumberland National Park – their positive input and support has been very much appreciated.
