Oak Tree in the College Valley, Northumberland National Park

Barrowburn Camping Barn

Barrowburn Camping Barn lies in one of the most rural and tranquil areas of England, nestling in the upper reaches of the Coquet Valley and surrounded by the rolling Cheviot Hills. The former school house has been converted to provide accommodation facilities for 17 as well as camping opportunities for six or seven tents.

The barn itself has a well equipped kitchen with gas cooker and hot water, main living area with tables, coal fire, coat room, two sleeping platforms and separate dorm for leaders. Outside there are separate male and female washroom facilities and toilets.

Barrowburn Camping Barn

Barrowburn Camping Barn offers an ideal base from which to explore the numerous rights of way and access land of the Cheviot Hills and the Border Ridge. Whilst it is situated on the Otterburn Ranges military training area, the open access area is open all year round, making this suitable for school/youth/walking/cycling groups alike.
