Enjoyment for all in Northumberland National Park

What to do

Cawfields Walk

Walkers head along Hadrian’s Wall near to Cawfields Quarry Site.

Get away from it all in the least populated of the UK’s National Parks. There are 700 miles of paths and trails to explore for the connoisseur outdoor enthusiast.

Get out and get active. Or simply enjoy our enchanting wildlife and landscape, with all that nature has to offer.

The locals will give you a warm welcome when you stop by for a hearty pint or slice of delicious cake.

Indulge in some retail therapy and taste some gastronomic delights – eating out and shopping is an art form here. There is fun to be found in museums, at historic sites, houses and gardens across the National Park.

Our lack of light pollution means we officially have the darkest skies in England. In this Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park, you can stargaze at the Milky Way, just as Hadrian’s legionnaires did.

For a calendar of the events on offer, visit our home page and scroll down to What’s on this week. If you want to see what’s happening in the entire month, or future months, click on Monthly View when you get there.
