The Northumberland National Park Authority is the planning authority responsible for deciding planning applications, and other types of applications, relating to development proposals on land within the boundary of the Northumberland National Park.

The National Park Authority has adopted a Development Control Charter to set down how we determine planning applications and enforce planning control.
