Service, Policy, Procedure, or Practice that was Impact Assessed: Farming and Rural Enterprise service in the Northern and Southern sections within Northumberland National Park.

Summary of findings:

The Farming and Community Enterprise Officers are delivering a comprehensive service to the service users in a way that reflects the demographics of the National Park. It must also be recognised, however, that officers need constantly to be aware of the needs of individuals and groups identified in the Equality Standard and promote equality amongst all.

Summary of Recommendations and Key Points of Action Plan:

  • Better data collection required
  • Undertake a new Farm Survey
  • Consult with working partners/ organisations to ensure equality compliance to meet partnership agreements.
