Join us for our guided walk on the North Cheviot Circuit

Our walk begins on a track through the heart of the North Cheviots linking Wooler Common Farm, Hellpath, Broadstruther and Commonburn House.

From here our route heads north to join St. Cuthbert’s Way which we follow back to our start point. The views on this walk are exceptional.

Nobody knows the best places to walk in the National Park like our volunteers so you’ll never be short of local history, stories, features and viewpoints.

Places for this walk should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment and in the event we need to contact you to cancel or postpone due to bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Please dress for changeable weather, wear walking boots or shoes and bring drinks and snacks. Whilst well behaved dogs are welcome, please take note of any specific instructions by the walk leader and the concerns of others.  If you have not already booked online, please pay on arrival.

Lace up your boots and enjoy a great time outside.

Duration – 5 hours

Distance – 8.5 miles

Category – Strenuous.  Long and energetic walks up to 18km (11 miles). Some ascents and descents may be quite steep and on loose material.  A good level of fitness is needed.

Directions: From Newcastle take the A697 to Wooler.  At Wooler take ‘Ramsey Lane’, the second road on the left, SW for 1 mile to the car park on the right.
