Join our guided walk celebrating the Pennine Way – from Bellingham to Housesteads
One of two walks this year which celebrate the Pennine Way, which was founded 52 years ago as the first National Trail in England.
We meet at Housesteads Car Park, where transport will be provided to take us to Bellingham (note the 10.00am start time). From Bellingham we head south through open farm and moorland before entering the Wark Forest. We continue through the forest, and emerge close to the Nature Reserve at Greenlee Lough. With Hadrian’s Wall now in view, we head for Rapishaw Gap before following the Wall itself back to Housesteads.
This walk has been made possible through support from the Pennine Way Association.
Discover the best routes in the Northumberland National Park on our Volunteer Guided Walks. Get outside, enjoy your time walking and leave the planning and navigation to us; it’s what we’re best at.
