printing ecology and stencils!

Spring into Print

Date: 23rd March 2017
Time: 6:30 pm  to  9:00 pm

A new way of printing without the use of a press!

Join us for an introduction to gelli printmaking.  Come and join us for a printing session based around amphibians and reptiles.

The session begins with our Ecologist, Gill Thompson, talking about cold blooded animals (frogs, toads and snakes) in and around Northumberland National Park.

The printing session will be run by Hexham printmaker Carol Nunan, starting with a demonstration of how to draw simple patterns, cutting and making stencils and be followed by a hands on gelli printing session of plant material found in and amongst our National Park.

Gelli printing is an emerging art form – you will be given your own handmade gelli plate to work with and be able to take home your own creative print.

Price includes all materials.

Cost: £20.00 per person, £35.00 for two tickets.  Refreshments included.

Numbers are limited so it is essential to book; please do not just turn up on the day.

Aimed at budding adult artists.

Location:  Northumberland National Park offices, Eastburn, South Park, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 1BS
