Wild Wednesday – Go Batty in Autumn

Wild Wednesdays are a way for children to explore, play, discover and enjoy Northumberland National Park.

This Wild Wednesday is all about bats. Come along and learn more about these nocturnal creatures and find out more about how the wildlife in your area will be preparing for winter.  Make a bat box and get creative and make your own bat!  Making the bat box to take home is included in the price.

Aimed at families with children 12 years and under.

As this is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately and wear appropriate footwear.  As the weather can change please remember to bring waterproofs and warm clothing.

Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Location: Valley Cottage Cafe, Ingram, NE66 4LP

Directions: As you come over the bridge into Ingram, turn left at the junction (signposted). When you turn left you will go past Cheviot Holiday Cottages on your left.  A few hundred yards ahead is the village hall – the cafe is just past there, following the road around to the left.

For those wishing to use Sat-Nav please note, particularly in open country, postcodes cover a large area so whilst the postcode will get you to the right general area, you may still need to follow directions to locate the venue.
