Fishing at Falstone

Falstone © NNPAFalstoneKielder Forest District has about 600km of water courses. Many of the streams are tiny headwaters feeding the main tributaries of the Rivers North Tyne and Rede and too small to offer good fishing. The larger main tributaries have good stocks of native brown trout which provide good sports for the active fisherman.

In addition Forest Enterprises owns a stretch of the River North Tyne at Falstone which is managed by the Falstone Fishing Club providing an opportunity to fish for brown trout, salmon and sea trout. Fishing licences for this stretch of the river can be obtained from The Blackcock Inn at Falstone.
