Come and talk to us about your big ideas
The National Park Authority looks after the landscape, heritage and culture of Northumberland National Park, helping to make it a special place for people to live in and enjoy. We can do this by making sure that communities and businesses in the National Park are supported with good advice, guidance and funding.
A helping hand for enterprising people
It is our aim to empower local people to generate and run new ventures of all kinds that will enrich the economy and life of the community. The National Park Authority is there with a helping hand to find information and contacts, fulfil environmental and heritage assessments, and apply for funding.
We can provide funding through our National Park Area Fund and the Sustainable Development Fund, both of which encourage new business and social enterprises while helping to lessen the financial risk of new ideas. We can also provide advice on sources of external funding.
If your project benefits Northumberland National Park, we can help you by:
- Undertaking a funding search for you
- Advising you on likely sources of funding for projects
- Providing you with advice and support throughout the bidding process, whether working in partnership or acting as a critical friend once a bid has been completed
- Advising you on how to engage external partners and secure endorsement for bids prior to submission
- Providing you with advice on developing funding packages and attracting matched funding
- Providing you with information for bids on strategic links and relevant local statistics
You can also check out our Funding Guide, which provides straight-forward advice on how to develop projects and funding bids, helping you to get the most out of funding opportunities while avoiding some of the commonly experienced pitfalls.
