Oak Tree in the College Valley, Northumberland National Park

Environment Association

The Environment Association is an umbrella body representing any interest or community which shares the aims of Northumberland National Park. It exists to support those groups to take practical action.

Any individual or organisation from the public, private or voluntary sector, or a collective of these within or outside the National Park can become a member of the Environment Association, or request to receive support from the organisation, whether in the form of advice or funding.

The work undertaken by the Environmental Association includes financially managing the Hareshaw Linn, White Water Green Shade project, administering the Good Nature Fund with the Small Grants Appraisal Group, and managing funds derived from various visitor payback schemes throughout the National Park.

Membership

Northumberland National Park Environment Association has a widely drawn board of management and membership which is largely independent of Northumberland National Park Authority, which solely provides a secretariat, a treasurer, and a National Park Authority representative.

If you would like to know more about anything to do with the Environment Association, or if you would like to make a donation to further their purposes, please contact the Secretary by emailing environmentassociation@nnpa.org.uk or telephoning 01434 611516.
