The New LEADER Approach
Liaison Entre Actions de Développement de l'Économie Rurale (LEADER)The Northumberland Uplands Local Action Group utilise the New LEADER Approach to distribute funding from the Rural Development Programme for England.
LEADER is an approach used across the European Union that encourages innovation, the joining up of projects to increase mutual benefit, co-operation between organisations and local decision making. Innovation and co-operation are often difficult to achieve but can add a lot to the successful outcomes of projects. Organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors are eligible to apply.
