Case Study: Upper Coquetdale Film Group

National Park Coquetdale Area Fund

The Coquetdale Area Fund is supporting the Upper Coquetdale Film Group in a pilot project to transfer three films from the original cine film format to DVD format, and to carry out basic editing and improvement work to the films.

The intention is to show the DVD versions of the three films within the community at a public showing but presently efforts are being concentrated on developing the DVD with Castlecross Productions, based at Blagdon, near Morpeth.

Eventually it is hoped that the group may be assisted to apply to other external funders to continue the transfer process for the remaining films in the 150-strong archive.
