Case Study: Wooler Walk Weekend

An area funds grant has been awarded to local business 'Walk Northumbria' run by Peter McEwen from Westnewton, in order to develop the first Wooler Walk Weekend.

The Wooler Walk Weekend will take place from 13-15th November 2009 and will be based at the Wooler Youth Hostel, in partnership with the Glendale Gateway Trust. The event will include a programme of guided walks, accommodation, meals and evening entertainment.

The grant has enabled the event to be developed and is covering costs associated with promotion and marketing of the event, and the costs of running the first event in partnership with Walk Northumbria and the Glendale Gateway Trust.
