Shepherds Walks

Shepherd's Walks is an award winning resource for Walking Guides in Northumberland National Park - as featured on Radio 4 and in Country Walking magazine.

The walks are quite unique as Jon Monks has written them all from a Shepherd's perspective. As he lives and shepherds in Northumberland he tries to incorporate his knowledge of the landscape and the way it is managed into each of his walking guide. Making for a truly unique experience. He aims to make every walk a better experience for those exploring Northumberland National Park.

There are routes for every level of walker. From the short walk for all the family, to the ascent some of some of the highest peaks in Northern England and the Borders. To compliment the walking guides Shepherds Walks also offers a varied guided walk programme, which runs throughout the year.

In conjunction with Northumberland National Park Shepherd's Walks have produced three new publications to help people visiting the area. These are: Walks in Rothbury and Coquetdale, Walks in Bellingham and Redesdale and Walks in Wooler and The Cheviots.
