One of the Turvelaws CottagesOne of the cottagesTurvelaws Holiday Cottages are three eco friendly cottages set on a working farm just half a mile from the attractive market town of Wooler. On the edge of Northumberland National Park.

Turvelaws is the perfect place from which to access not only the Cheviot but also the surrounding countryside. The River Till runs through the farm providing guests with trout and salmon fishing. If you would like to venture further a field Northumberland’s stunning heritage coastline is only a 30 minute drive. The historical towns of Berwick Upon Tweed and Alnwick are both only 16 miles away, making Turvelaws an excellent base from which to explore both areas. Bamburgh Castle, The Farne Islands, The Scottish Borders and Lindisfarne are all within easy reach.

Twin bedroomTwin bedroomState of the art eco-friendly technology provides luxurious under floor heating throughout each cottage. The renovated old farm buildings have retained many of their original features, marrying the old with the new. Each cottage has been beautifully appointed providing contemporary, comfortable and relaxing accommodation.

Two of the Cottages (The Smithy and The Dovecot) are set in the KitchenKitchengrounds of the farmhouse and the third (Topsy Turvey) is only a field away.

The Smithy sleeps up to two people and was formerly used as a blacksmiths workshop. Now it is the perfect holiday cottage for two. Cot available. one bedroom, one bathroom. Wood burner.

Living roomLiving areaTopsy Turvey sleeps up to four people and is named so because it is indeed upside down. The open plan kitchen dining living space over looks the Cheviots and a patio door leads down steps to the garden and BBQ area. Two bedrooms/two ensuite bathrooms.

The Dovecot sleeps eight – ten people, four bedrooms four ensuite bathrooms and a sofa bed in the games room suitable for children.  The games room is ideal for keeping the children entertained with ping pong, games, books and their own television. The living dining area is comfortable and spacious with patio doors leading out to the garden and BBQ area.

All cottages welcome walkers and have good sized utilities for drying outdoor gear.

Also provided is shelter for bikes and cycling gear.

Each one is fitted with an air source heating unit, rain water harvesting units and thermal fleece insulation.

Dogs welcome (£25 per dog. Max two dogs).
