On this page you will find the necessary forms for making a planning application to Northumberland National Park Authority along with guidance notes for applicants. Please refer to these notes before completing your application.

The Planning Application form should be used for full applications for new building works, full applications for a change of use, approval of reserved matters and applications for the alteration or removal of a condition or renewal of temporary permission.  If the site operations will affect a Listed Building, or the site is located in a Conservation Area, the relevant combined form should be used.

When making an application you must also submit a completed certificate, giving details of the ownership of the application site. Please read the guidance for ownership certificates and notices (PDF Format, 64kb) for more information.

The Householder Planning Application form allows householders to apply for planning permission for extensions, minor alterations, garages, etc.  If the building affected is a Listed Building, or is situated in a Conservation Area, the relevant combined form should be used.

When making an application you must also submit a completed certificate, giving details of the ownership of the application site. Please read the guidance for ownership certificates and notices (PDF Format, 64kb) for more information.

The application form for Listed Building Consent should be used to make applications for alterations to a Listed Building.  The application form for demolition in a Conservation Area should be used if it is proposed to demolish an Unlisted Building in a Conservation Area.

The application form for Consent to Display an Advertisement should be used for applications to display an advertisement in Northumberland National Park.

The relevant application form for Agricultural or Forestry Determinations should be used to make applications for determinations whether prior approval of details is required.

The appropriate application form for a Certificate of Lawfulness of Existing or Proposed Use or development should be used if you wish to establish whether any existing or proposed use of buildings or land would be lawful for planning control purposes.
