Service, Policy, Procedure, or Practice that was Impact Assessed: The day to day practice of communicating with and receiving feedback from staff, members, volunteers, community groups/individuals, partners and visitors to the National Park.

Summary of findings:

More data needed on who is presently engaged by the current communications practices of the Authority.

Consultation and feedback is needed specifically on how the current communications practices do or do not positively-discriminate, discriminate in favour of any of the six identified groups within the Equality Standard legislation.

Summary of Recommendations and Key Points of Action Plan:

  • Produce a communications strategy
  • Train staff, members and volunteers alike.
