Public Speaking Scheme for Development Control Committee meetings

The Authority has introduced public speaking at Development Control Committee meetings with effect from February 2008.  This guidance document sets out the scheme, identifies which type of application is considered by the Committee, how to inform the Authority that you wish to speak at a meeting and what you may speak about.

Please note that there is a maximum of 5 minutes for the applicant/supporters to speak and 5 minutes total for objectors.  Therefore if more than one person/group wishes to speak in a particular category you will need to liaise with each other over how the time is divided up.

If you require any further information about speaking at a Development Control Committee meeting or require the information in an alternative format please contact the Committee Administration team on 01434 611515 or e-mail:  committees@nnpa.org.uk and we will be happy to help you.
