Members' Code of Conduct

Northumberland National Park Authority has adopted the revised Model Code of Conduct created by statutory instrument 2007 No. 1159 which can be found here.

This Code of Conduct covers:

  • Treating others with respect
  • Complying with equality laws
  • Bullying and intimidation
  • Compromising the impartiality of officers of the authority
  • Disclosing confidential information
  • Preventing Access to information
  • Disrepute
  • Using your position improperly
  • The authority's resources
  • Using resources for proper purposes only
  • Considering advice provided to you and giving reasons
• Personal Interests,
• Prejudicial Interests,
• Gifts and hospitality
• Overview and scrutiny committee meetings
• Executive or cabinet roles
• Sensitive information
