Projects in Northumberland National Park
Traditional Boundary
Traditional CattleTo achieve Our Vision for Northumberland National Park, we are involved in a very wide range of projects.
In some cases we will lead such a project, in others we contribute while a local group of people or another agency makes the running. These projects help to make Northumberland National Park special but also support communities and the local economy.
Just some of the projects we have undertaken are included here. We have looked to discover more about the history of the National Park and involve the community in the Coquetdale Archaeology Project. We have looked to provide training for employment in order to preserve our traditional boundaries. We have undertaken work to protect areas of the National Park (for instance at Hareshaw Linn). We have explored the past in many ways in the Drovers Project.
The projects we tell you about here are just to give you a flavour of what goes on within the Northumberland National Park.
