Cheviot Hills Heritage Project

The Cheviot Hills Heritage Project was an initiative started in 2008 working across the English-Scottish border to explore, understand and celebrate the rich natural and cultural heritage of the area.

From geology and wildlife to archaeology and history, from traditional crafts to myths and folklore, the project aimed to bring people together, to discover, share and enjoy all that is local and distinctive about the landscape and settlements of the Cheviots, from the everyday to the unusual.
