Cheviot Hills Heritage Project logoThe Cheviot Hills Heritage Project is a new initiative working across the English-Scottish border to explore, understand and celebrate the rich natural and cultural heritage of the area.

From geology and wildlife to archaeology and history, from traditional crafts to myths and folklore, the project aims to bring people together, to discover, share and enjoy all that is local and distinctive about the landscape and settlements of the Cheviots, from the everyday to the unusual.

Over the next two years, an open invitation to get involved is extended to all who live in, work in, or care about the Cheviot Hills. We want to find out what is important to you about the Cheviot landscape - What do you value about the hills, valleys, rivers and settlements, and which stories of the people and places would you like to tell to people visiting the area?
