Coquetdale Community Archaeology

Coquetdale Archaeology is a community project which links local people to local archaeology. Through the project, residents of Coquetdale and neighbouring communities are getting involved in exploring and investigating the hidden history of their homes, villages, and the local landscape.

Everyone can get involved, through practical work like fieldwalking, recording ancient monuments, or joining one of the summer excavations. Alternatively, take part in a guided walk, come and listen to a public talk, or sign up for a taster session – see Get Involved! for more details…
