Drovers Project Interpretation: Oral History Project

Sketch of DroversDrovingAs part of the Drovers Project, we researched stories of droving.

One tale of relatively modern-day droving is that of Bob Telford, who drove the family herd of cattle a distance of 45 miles across what is now Northumberland National Park in 1943.

Mr Telford's droving story has been used as the basis for a short film produced for the Drovers Project.  We showed this film at Northumberland County Show on 31st May 2005 and also at National Park Visitor Centres.
