Fleehope: The Cattle

Galloways at FleehopeThe cattle which grazed Fleehope were Galloways belonging to the Beanley Farm Partnership of Hedgeley Hall, Powburn.  

A total of 26 cows, 25 calves and one Galloway bull were on the site from the end of May until the end of August 2005.

Grazing and Monitoring:

Basic pre-grazing monitoring in the form of a site walkover was carried out just before the cattle were introduced.

A similar walkover was completed at the end of the grazing season, once the cattle were taken off the site.
