Funding the Hareshaw Linn Project

Volunteers at workNorthumberland National Park was able to secure funds from the Northumbrian Water Environment Trust (NWET) and Europe to undertake the necessary works. In addition to this, funds were also given for historical and education initiatives to take place during the large restoration project.

Involving the Community

The Hareshaw Local Community Group in Bellingham, with representatives from the Parish Council, District Council, Rural Community Council and Bellingham Community Council were responsible for steering the project forward in conjunction with staff from the Northumberland National Park Authority.
