Oak Tree in the College Valley, Northumberland National Park

Budgetary Process

Each year Northumberland  National Park Authority plans its spending for the following year. This is known as the budgetary process.

Did you know that our running costs are paid for by central government? Do you know how we make decisions on where to spend our money? Are you interested in seeing how we spent our money last year?

Northumberland National Park Authority spends substantial funds as a direct result of ideas from local communities and businesses through 4 Action Areas:

  • Hadrian's Wall
  • North Tyne and Redesdale
  • Upper Coquetdale
  • Cheviot Hills

Our website provides further budgetary and financial information:

If you would like to ask a question or make any comments about the budgetary process, including any ideas about how it could be improved in future years, or if you would like to find out about our Action Area events please use the contact details above.
