Minerals Local Plan
The National Park Authority is the minerals planning authority for the area. The Authority has produced a Northumberland National Park Minerals Local Plan, which was adopted in January 2000. This plan covers all minerals extraction in the National Park, and sets out the policy and framework for dealing with future proposals. This Local Plan will be replaced by the National Park Local Development Framework.
