Local Plan – Waste Policy

The National Park Authority is the waste planning authority for the area. The Authority has not produced a separate Waste Local Plan. Instead, land use policy relating to waste management is contained in the National Park Local Plan, which was adopted in September 1996. The Local Plan will be replaced by the National Park Local Development Framework.

The Government sets down the shape of the planning system.  Further information on development plans can be obtained from the Communities and Local Government web site.
