Full Authority 2009 Development Control Committee 2009
Northumberland National Park Authority consists 22 members who are appointed to represent local interests and communities and also national and regional interests.
Our members serve on various committees directly involved in the running of the National Park Authority and also on a number of outside bodies on which they represent the interests of Northumberland National Park.
In addition to the Full Authority which meets quarterly, our committees are the Development Control Committee, the Standards Committee, the Strategic Leadership Panel and the Review Panel, as well as subject specific Working Groups and Task and Finish Groups.
Six members of the Authority are appointed by Northumberland County Council (in the May following local elections) or in April of each year when a vacancy arises by the Secretary of State for the Environment, either representing parish groupings in the National Park or local, regional or national interests.
There are currently no vacancies for Secretary of State appointees to Northumberland National Park Authority.

The next meeting of the Development Control Committee, will be held on Wednesday 11th November 2009 at 10.30am at National Park Headquarters, Eastburn, Hexham. The agenda and reports are now available.
- Meetings of the Development Control Committee are open to the public. The Authority operates a Public Speaking Scheme for Development Control Committee meetings. Details are available by following the link. Please ensure that requests to take part in Public Speaking at the meeting are submitted to the Corporate Administration team in accordance with the instructions contained in the guidance document.
The December Development Control Committee meeting has been rescheduled for 10.30 am on Monday 7th December 2009. The venue is expected to be National Park Headquarters, Eastburn, Hexham and the agenda and reports will be made available five working days before the meeting.
The next meeting of the Full Authority is scheduled for Monday 7th December 2009 at 1.30 pm at National Park Headquarters, Hexham. Note the amended date. The agenda and reports will be made available five working days before the meeting.
- Meetings of Northumberland National Park Authority are open to the public. Public Questions can be put to the meeting in accordance with the Authority's Public Question Time Scheme and must be received in writing ten working days before the meeting.
