Members and Committees

River Coquet and Simonside Hills © Simon FraserRiver Coquet Northumberland National Park Authority consists of 22 members who are appointed to represent local interests and communities and also national interests.

Our members serve on various committees directly involved in the running of the National Park Authority and also a number of outside bodies on which they represent the interests of Northumberland National Park.  

In addition to the Full Authority which meets quarterly, our committees are the Development Control Committee, the Review Panel, the Standards Committee and the Strategic Leadership Panel, as well as subject specific Working Groups and Task and Finish Groups.

Details of Forthcoming Meetings

The next meeting of the Development Control Committee, will be held on Wednesday 8th July 2009 at 10.30am at National Park Headquarters, Eastburn, Hexham.  The agenda and reports are now  available.  

  • Meetings of the Development Control Committee are open to the public. The Authority operates a Public Speaking Scheme for Development Control Committee meetings. Details are available by following the link. Please ensure that requests to take part in Public Speaking at the meeting are submitted to the Corporate Administration team in accordance with the instructions contained in the guidance document.

The next meeting of the Full Authority will be held on Monday 21st September 2009 at 1.30 pm at National Park Headquarters, Hexham.  The agenda and reports will be made available five working days before the meeting.  NOTE that this will be held on a different day of the week from the normal pattern.

  • Meetings of Northumberland National Park Authority are open to the public. Public Questions can be put to the meeting in accordance with the Authority's Public Question Time Scheme and must be received in writing ten working days before the meeting.
