Stonehaugh
Warks Burn at StonehaughA village built in 1957 to house Forestry Commision workers.
The Warksburn trail with its distinctive totem poles starts just outside the forest village of Stonehaugh. It explores the forest surrounding the valley of the Warks Burn. Look out for where the route crosses the Black Dyke, an ancient pre-Roman earthwork. This trail has average walking conditions and is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long. You will find toilets and a picnic area at the start/finish.
