HethpoolSecluded, peaceful and unspoilt. This is one of the most tranquil yet dramatic valleys in the National Park. For the more adventurous, Henhole and The Bizzle provide challenging ascents to the top of The Cheviot.
The College Valley Estates website has a great deal of information on the area including getting there, places to stay, guided walks, conservation projects and the history of the College Valley estate.

There are a series of four challenging circular Hillfort Trails in the College Valley – Hethas Hike, Ring Chesters Round, Four Forts Foray and the River and Ramparts Ramble. You can find these walks in our Beautiful Highland Place leaflet which you can purchase from our on-line store or from the National Park Visitor Centre, Ingram. Each trail begins and ends at Hethpool car park where the you can find an orientation panel including a map depicting the trails, all of which are well singposted.
