Kirknewton ChurchKirknewton Village HallThe village lies on the northern flank of the Cheviot Hills massif. In Kirknewton church, the vaulted chancel and south transept are dramatic reminders of the dangers that existed on the Borders long ago.

A Hillfort Heritage Trail has been established that starts from the village and takes the walker into the Cheviot Hills behind. The walkcard can be obtained from the foyer of the village hall.
