Chester FortThe best visible remains of a Roman Cavalry Fort in Britain. Originally built astride Hadrian's Wall to defend a bridge carrying the wall across the river North Tyne.
With a military bath house surviving as one of the best preserved buildings on Hadrian's Wall and a musuem which houses the Clayton collection - an extensive array of find from along Hadrian's Wall.
