Alwinton

AlwintonThe last village in Upper Coquetdale. A great starting point for walks on the Border Ridge as well as being the starting point for the annual Cheviots Challenge Fell Race. Experienced horse riders will enjoy the Cheviot Challenge Riding Routes in the Coquet Valley around Alwinton. The big event of the year is the traditional Border Shepherds Show held on the second Saturday in October which attracts many visitors from far and wide.
