Rothbury is an ideal base from which to explore the National Park, Northumberland Heritage Coast, Kielder Water and Hadrian's Wall.
The Visitor Centre is situated in the centre of this picturesque market town and nearby walks take in the Simonside Hills and Lordenshaws, where you will see the famous "cup and ring" markings on the stones. If you enjoy gardening and visiting historic houses, The National Trust property of Cragside is a must. Set amongst beautiful gardens and woodland, it is especially recommended when the rhododendrons are in full bloom in early June!
Take the family to the new interactive displays at Rothbury; be inspired by the splendour of the National Park and all it has to offer. What's more, it's free!
This National Park Centre also operates as a Tourist Information Centre where accommodation bookings can be made. Inside, new interpretive displays on the National Park will inspire you to visit or you can browse the many leaflets that cover the area and seek out locally made gifts in our shop.
