Tynedale Renewable Energy Trail

Tynedale Renewable Energy Trail Logo

The Tynedale Renewable Energy Trail (TRETrail) is a guided or unguided tour, for groups or individuals, around existing renewable energy installations in the Tynedale area of south-west Northumberland.

Renewable energy does not add to global warming, unlike oil, coal, gas and most forms of electricity generation. Around Kielder, in the Tynedale District, there are homes, a school and leisure facilities using clean energy without damaging our climate.

You can explore the trail on foot, by bike or by car. You can download a copy of the Energy Trail leafelt at the TRETrail website as well as finding all the latest information, news and updates on the project.
