Voluntary Ranger Guided Walks

Every summer the Northumberland National Park Ranger Service provide a programme of free guided walks and events starting at various locations throughout the Park.

Led mainly by Voluntary Rangers these easy paced walks take in some of the most interesting and beautiful parts of the Park. From Hadrian’s Wall area in the south through to the wild hills above the village of Ingram in the north. All the routes are carefully chosen to provide a taste of what can be found in Northumberland National Park.

Prior booking is not required and walks are free of charge. Just turn up on one of the dates, enjoy the walk and learn a little about the National Park, the surrounding area and its history, from a well-informed walks leader.

Full details of the walks and events, locations, starting times and proposed routes can be found in the 'events' section of the National Park website or by downloading the Voluntary Ranger Guided Walks 2013 leaflet.

Further help can be obtained from the National Park Visitor Centres.

PLEASE NOTE - No dogs on guided walks please.
