Cumberland and Westmoreland Wrestling
An exciting open competition of traditional rural hand-to-hand combat skills takes place at Rothbury Mart on Friday, August 31 at 6.30pm. This family event rounds off with refreshments, bar and live music and under 12s enter free.
The sport is a cultural heritage in many countries and competitors are coming from Iceland and Brittany as well as many other parts of the UK. There are categories for a range of ages and weights, men and women, adults and juniors. Tickets from 01669 640013.
