Pundershaw and Whitchester Moor

  • Route 18 km / 11 miles Grade – moderate
  • 5% tarmac 40% hard track
  • 25% firm off-road 30% rough off-road
  • Height lost/gained – moderate

Starting in Pundershaw on the eastern edge of Wark Forest, this circular ride covers mixed terrain from forest track to open moor with barely any tarmac road. Off-road riding is great with some good canters and fabulous views. A short cut is possible. Off-road sections may be rough and wet - please take care, and dismount if necessary. Be prepared for occasional fords and ditches.

Pundershaw, Linacres and Longlee

  • Route 18 km / 11 miles Grade – moderate
  • 40% tarmac 10% hard track
  • 20% firm off-road 30% rough off-road
  • Height lost/gained – moderate

Starting in Pundershaw on the eastern edge of Wark Forest, this ride follows country lanes, forest tracks and farmland with magnificent views. There is great off-road riding with a couple of good canters. Some sections may be muddy after rainfall - please take care and dismount if necessary. Be prepared for occasional fords and ditches.
