Does the idea of spending five days walking in Northumberland National Park spotting Bumblebees & Butterflies and learning about their habitat appeal to you?
Are you currently studying on an environmental course and want to gain valuable field experience sought after by employers?
Northumberland National Park is offering a student a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in observing, catching and identifying Bumblebees and other pollinating insect species.
An understanding of good pollinator habitat and identification of the wildflower plant species most favoured by bees will also be gained with the guidance of one of the National Parks experienced Rangers.
The days are occasional but flexible and are spread over an eight week period during May and June As the work involves walking on varied terrain and being out in the outdoors a reasonable level of fitness is expected.
Candidates must have their own transport as some travel to rural locations will be expected.
