An exciting opportunity for a creative team or consultant

England’s National Parks have an exciting opportunity for collaboration with a creative team or consultant to co-design a shared vision that fosters inclusion and a sense of belonging within our National Parks.  

This endeavour is more than just a project; it’s a vital initiative that seeks to gather and explore what our National Parks truly mean to people. By bringing together the remarkable efforts already underway in our respective National Parks, we aim to craft a unified vision of inclusion that reflects the diverse values and experiences of our communities.  

This work is part of a broader collaboration with the Protected Landscapes Partnership (PLP). Formed in response to the Landscapes Review of 2019, the PLP comprises National Parks, National Trails UK, National Landscapes Association, and Natural England.   

At its core, this initiative is about more than just preserving our natural landscapes; it’s about ensuring that everyone feels welcome, represented, and empowered within our National Parks. By co-creating a shared vision of inclusion and belonging, we’re not only enriching the experiences of visitors but also fostering a deeper connection to nature and each other.

We want to amplify our collective impact and influence toward common goals: climate leadership, nature recovery, and equity, diversity, and inclusion.  

If you are a creative EDI consultant or team, we want to hear from you. Through this work, we will create a collective inclusion statement and vision for National Parks. The consultant or creative team will work with the National Parks England EDI Project Manager and local delivery teams across the UK National Parks. The work will outline a shared commitment to equitable practice and should hold National Parks to account for delivering public, visible, and transparent change.
