Haunted at The Cheviot Centre

Event date:
3rd November 2019
The Cheviot Centre, Wooler

Locally based professional actors Stephen Tomlin and Janine Birkett from Demi-paradise Productions visit The Cheviot Centre with three spine-tingling ghostly tales for Halloween.

The contrasting stories chosen are a mix of modern and classical narratives by some of the greatest writers in the genre.

This year’s selection features The Phantom Coach by Amelia B Edwards (1831-1892). A journalist, leading Egyptologist and best-selling novelist Amelia also wrote ghost stories of which The Phantom Coach (1864) remains the best known today.

A wonderfully atmospheric gothic tale set on the isolated snowbound moors of the North Pennines it really is the perfect story to be heard read aloud at The Cheviot Centre!

Haunted is a different kind of listening entertainment and the performers think it suitable for everyone and anyone over the age of 11. So come and join us – if you dare!
