Clay Jug Workshop

Event date:
23rd February 2020
The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre

Join us at The Sill to make your own beautiful jug.

With two expert tutors on hand to advise and inspire, you will make a handmade jug of your own design during the half-day session. All materials, equipment, and firings are provided.

Learn how to decorate and assemble the various parts of your jug, which will then be taken back to Muddy Fingers Pottery to be fired and glazed in the colour of your choice. The finished piece will be dropped back off at The Sill around four weeks later for you to pick up and take home.

The session will run from 1pm to 3.30pm.

Muddy Fingers Pottery

Muddy Fingers Pottery make specialist or bespoke cookware, tableware, kitchen, and homeware as well as producing a range of jewellery and giftware. Alongside designing and making new products, Marv and Diane develop and produce their own glazes for their bespoke stoneware pottery.

The trend for handmade plates and pots has seen their pottery going into places such as the 02 Arena, Tom Kerridge’s restaurant, Jason Atherton’s restaurants, and even Burberry!

But they don’t just make pots – they also run adult night classes, workshops, and Raku sessions, build bread ovens, design and make tipi fire pits, create sculptures, murals, and do pit firing!
