Family Walk - Hareshaw Linn

Event date:
5th May 2019
Time:
13:30
Location:
Hareshaw Linn Car Park

Our beautiful woodland walk follows the Hareshaw Dene up to The Linn, an Old-English word for a waterfall. Learn about the fascinating industrial history of this remote area that was once home to blast furnaces and coke ovens.

Our walk passes the remains of the dam that supplied the water to the works below before we enter a Site of Special Scientific Interest, (SSSI) designated for its rare lichens and ferns and home to red squirrels.
