Family Walk - Linhope Spout

Event date:
22nd April 2019
Hartside - Breamish Valley

Our walk begins at Hartside in the Breamish Valley, heading west along the road to the hamlet of Linhope.

There we join the bridleway and then the track heading north-west to the 'Spout' where the Linhope Burn forms a waterfall that empties into a deep pool before heading south-east to join the River Breamish.

We then traverse Access land to visit the Iron Age Hillfort at Grieves Ash which dates to the Romano British period before returning to the road and retracing our steps back to the start.
