- Time:
- 11:00
- Location:
- The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre
West Tynedale Ramblers Wellbeing Walk Leaders and National Park Volunteers have designed walks suitable for people wanting an introduction to the inspirational landscapes of Northumberland National Park. Whilst still more challenging than urban walks, our friendly leaders have chosen easier routes and will walk at a pace suitable for all.
We will meet at the Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and travel together to our walk starting point. We will follow the newly opened route over farmland to access Greenlee boardwalk where rare and wonderful flora and insects can be found. We then continue on the boardwalk, through stunning reed beds, to the bird hide at Greenlee Lough where we were we can view typical wetland birdlife – bring binoculars if you can. From there we walk up through a hay meadow to Greenlee Farm and then follow the bridleway back to Gibbs Hill Farm.
