Celtic Halloween

Event date:
30th October 2020
Time:
10:00
Location:
The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre

Celebrate the day when the veil between the spirit world and the apparent world is lifted.  This is the time of year when you can communicate with your ancestors.  The last harvest has been gathered and it is time to prepare for winter.  The Celts believed in life after death, this is what made them fearless in battle.  Discover why they painted themselves blue and how they communicated with the spirit world.

Individual households (max. 6 per group) can meet a Celt in our outdoor learning garden by booking their own 30-minute time slot.

Enjoy a fun day out to The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre, by combining your visit with a walk to UNESCO World Heritage Site Hadrian’s Wall. We also have a family trail available everyday throughout half term.
